My name is Myla Majuery and I am an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner. I’ve always had a passion for helping people which led me to Osteopathy. I recently graduated from a 4 year intensive program at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (M.OMSc) where I learned principles-based osteopathy. I am part of the OOA/OSTCAN. Treatments are reimbursable for those who have health benefit coverage through your employer. I strive to provide a welcoming atmosphere for all the patients to have their health concerns heard. 

The foundation of an osteopathic treatment is the interrelationship between anatomy and physiology, the structure and the function of the human body. When the structure is free of restriction the body can self-heal and self-regulate as it was designed to. Osteopathy aims to restore the body's mechanics, nerve impulses and circulation in order to nourish all tissues of the body for optimal health. Osteopathic manual practitioners use their in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology and a wide-rage of manual techniques based on the principles of osteopathy. Practitioners search for the “why” of the dysfunction, treating people and not just symptoms, therefore osteopathy helps with an extremely wide-range of issues.

Osteopathic treatments are 30 minutes in length. Common concerns people seek osteopathic treatment for acute or chronic musculoskeletal injuries, visceral disorders and discomforts, pre & post operative rehabilitation, pregnancy & postpartum preparation and recovery, as well as maintenance of overall health and injury prevention.

I am an artist, children's entertainer, author and Owner at Splatz Art. I absolutely love art and have been doing various forms of art throughout my whole life, my specialties
are face and body painting, acrylic art, art journaling, balloon art, and many more forms
of art. I love to explore and be magical and entirely wild and free with the works that I
am involved in. I have a great love for children especially, it warms my heart making
them smile and see their creative spirit to be free.

In the past year, I have been getting
more into body painting the human canvas which I am finding very freeing and an
absolutely enchanting form of art.
I believe that everyone should give themselves the freedom to create every day.

Creativity can be perceived as limited if the openness to freedom is not given. Often
times we find our lives so busy that we don’t give ourselves the opportunity to even
think creatively, we tend to just do what is easy. When you take the time out of your
work day and give yourself that time without limitations, magic happens and creative
motion takes over. I have learned over the years that when you take time to be creative
a type of release happens and a greater awareness of joy is amplified into your entire
being.
